Q&A with Saadia Baig, Kinesiologist

  1. What led you to holistic health? Was there a moment on your personal journey that you struggled with and found your new area of expertise could help you and others?

Kinesiology saved my physical and emotional well-being after significant health issues following an extremely abusive relationship. It also restored my fertility when the medical profession had advised that it would be very difficult for me to have children. I got pregnant while retraining as a kinesiologist!

  1. How can your specialist area support those considering, or already on a fertility journey?

Kinesiology gives the body and soul a language to communicate the root causes and preferred treatment using muscle testing. The factors impacting individual fertility are bio-chemically unique, and encompass their structure, nutrition, emotions and energetics.  With kinesiology, we access the wisdom of the body in how it wants to heal, to tremendous results.

  1. How do your clients integrate your practices alongside conventional medical treatments? How do the two co-exist?

The two can absolutely co-exist! We often work together with consultants to develop a plan that is supportive of the client’s medical plan, and to optimise their results using nutrition, emotions and energetics. The best results often come when we combine medical advancements with the ancient wisdom held within the body.

  1. If you were speaking to your younger self what advice would you give her?

You are absolutely beautiful inside and out, just as you are. Always be true to yourself, put yourself first (especially with men and family!), and stop people-pleasing!

  1. Do you have a personal mantra or favourite quote that you live by / inspires you?

The Universe is my source, substance and supply. I am divinely guided and loved.

  1. What do you think is the biggest challenge your female clients face when it comes to fertility or their general health?

In my experience the greatest and often most overlooked challenge is emotional authenticity and nervous system regulation. When we are stressed, exhausted, carrying trauma, and unable to be truly authentic and feminine as defined for ourselves, our bodies cannot feel SAFE enough to express our optimum fertility. Women need and deserve emotional safety to conceive.

  1. What excites you the most about SheWell’s mission to bridge medical and holistic approaches to fertility?

I truly believe that success in terms of fertility and all realms of health comes from combining the incredible medical knowledge and scientific advancement we have with the holistic wisdom that integrates all aspects of our well-being. SheWell is SO needed and so timely. I am delighted to be a part of it.

  1. What conversation do you feel we are not having as women and should be having when it comes to fertility and female health?

For me the two most underrated keys are nervous system regulation and emotional safety for women, alongside adequate physical nutritional supplementation to optimize medical procedures. You can tremendously improve the success of IVF for example by supporting a client nutritionally and emotionally.
