Her journey into reflexology began over a decade ago, inspired by a transformative and positive treatment experience. In 2021, she pursued my passion further by studying at the renowned London School of Reflexology with Louise Keet and Ziggy Bernstein, earning a QFC government-approved Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and Advanced Facial Reflexology.
Daisy’s true purpose in life is to help support and heal those in need through the powerful and impactful practice of holistic reflexology. The profound effects reflexology has on our health, wellbeing, and overall quality of life never ceases to inspire her.
Q&A:
1. What led you to holistic health? Was there a moment on your personal journey that you struggled with and found that your current area of expertise could help you and others?
I was drawn to reflexology a long time ago and was always so intrigued by it and the link between the technique and results it can offer the mind, body and spirit. I did a cute little massage course over one weekend with a friend in London probably 15 years ago and this incorporated Reflexology on some level. The lady doing the course was great and I then went on to book in with her for Reflexology at a time in my life where I was going through quite a lot personally on an emotional level. I had a really powerful experience as it surfaced a lot of suppressed emotions for me which was having an impact on my physical health too. I continued to have regular treatments with a friend who offered massage and reflexology and is amazing. The more treatments I had, the more I felt so much better both emotionally and physically and I became more and more intrigued by the technique and power it has to improve your health and wellbeing. In 2021, after Covid and lockdown, I re-evaluated my life and decided to pursue my interest in Reflexology and I applied for the course in Reflexology and Advanced Facial Reflexology at the renowned London School of Reflexology with Louise Keet. I had done the research into what course I wanted to study maybe two years before that but it didn’t feel like the right time. I studied on the side of full time work in a busy PR agency which took 10 months and I qualified with a QFC government approved Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and Advanced Facial Reflexology. Now I can proudly say, it is my absolute pleasure to holistically treat, help and heal those in need with reflexology. The power and impact reflexology can
have on our health, wellbeing and lives in general never ceases to amaze me time after time.
2. How can your specialist area support those considering, or already on a fertility journey?
Reflexology is a very beneficial holistic therapy to support women on their fertility journey. Whether that be to conceive, support them and baby during pregnancy or to help induce labour and support women post natal with healing and hormone balancing. Reflexology increases circulation and blood flow which puts the body into a deep state of relaxation which then helps to speed up the body’s own healing process so the body is receiving more of what it requires whilst unblocking stagnant energy in the different parts and organs of the body. It allows the body to be in a state of harmony which we call homeostasis.
3. How do your clients integrate your practices alongside conventional medical treatments? How do the two co-exist?
Some clients come to me when on medication or when receiving other conventional medical treatments for certain issues or ailments. I work with physios and other practitioners to support clients hand in hand with one another. Reflexology being a holistic therapy helps mind, body and soul and ultimately unblocks the stagnant unwanted energy found in the body. It can help clients eventually reduce medication needed for issues or reduce the need for other services such as therapy when they become more aligned and balanced mentally and physically with the universe.
4. If you were speaking to your younger self what advice would you give her?
I think we go through the chapters of our lives to grow and learn and become who we are meant to become in this lifetime and without learnings we wouldn’t be who we are today so the only thing I would tell my younger self would be to trust. Trust your intuition and gut feeling and what you are drawn to because it has purpose. Don’t hold back and believe that the visions and feelings you have about certain things in life are real. Be confident and authentic in your self and love yourself inside and out!
5. Do you have a personal mantra or favorite quote that you live by / inspires you? P
Someone said to me recently this year… “If you are in peace, everything will flow” – I couldn’t agree more and live by this!
6. Have you had any mentoring on your journey or someone that has guided you that you look up to?
There are many people that have helped me on my journey. My friends and family have all been so supportive and I only ever received positivity from anyone I spoke to when I decided to step towards Reflexology which was lovely. What I love to hear if that everyone spoke so highly of the therapy when I mentioned I was studying it even if they had never tried it before. They had heard of the great benefits and had always wanted to try it. Coming from a beauty PR career background I had the privilege of working with some of the best experts in the industry including people like Margo Marrone, Co-Founder of The Organic Pharmacy and now Co-Founder of wellness community and skin brand eyeam. Margo has had a huge positive impact on my spiritual journey and helped me grow into the person I am today with help of others in our special community. She is so knowledgeable and gifted in so many areas and when I started working with her 3 years ago I knew I was drawn to her for a reason because she has so much insight and love to offer with support too.
7. What do you think is the biggest challenge your female clients face when it comes to fertility or their general health?
Stress!! I believe stress plays such a huge factor in everyone’s lives now and this has a knock on effect on lots of things including fertility. This is why Reflexology is so amazing because it not only targets key areas but it helps to relax the whole body and systems to then allow everything to function and do what it needs to do to help women conceive and be healthy.
8. What excites you the most about SheWell’s mission to bridge medical and holistic approaches to health and wellbeing?
I am excited for SheWell to help women by educating them and opening doors for them to receive more information and access to people that can help them with what they are looking for.
9. What conversation do you feel we are not having as women and should be having when it comes to fertility and female health? Would you like to come on a podcast and discuss this with us?
I feel there is still a stigma around miscarriage and women struggling to conceive and if we opened up more and spoke about it, it would help so many others. I understand it is a hard topic of discussion and some women don’t want to talk about it but if we did, it would create more services for people to receive help and support they require.
