Q&A with Nat Van Zee, Hypnotherapist

What led you to holistic health?

My breakdown in 2012, sparked my own healing journey. More about this here https://www.vanzeebeing.com/media/breakdown-to-breakthrough-podcast

I learned about toxins in beauty, so I became an educator and clean beauty expert.

I had my own Clean Beauty Platform Vanzee Beauty – see intro film

In which I was educated about the importance of clean beauty for fertility and pregnancy.

Was there a moment on your personal journey that you struggled with and found that your current area of expertise could help you and others?

As I shared with you personally I have my own fertility journey and ever since I have learned that The Body Holds The Score

95% of what we think, do, and be is subconscious so that means repressed emotions and limiting beliefs can impact fertility; stress is known to impact hormone levels; I touch on this in this interview with NourishDoc.

My expertise is getting to the root cause of symptoms, nervous regulation, emotional release, and helping women feel happier, more peaceful, and more confident.

How can your specialist area support those considering, or already on a fertility journey?

I offer 360 degrees of support, first of all, therapy & coaching addressing any emotional, subconscious, or mindset blocks helping women navigate expectations, anxiety, fear, and disappointment and find greater compassion and acceptance for themselves whatever happens. I am well-connected and highly informed about holistic lifestyle, holistic beauty, acupuncture, natural fertility, led light therapy, energy medicine, functional medicine, and other supportive modalities.

How do your clients integrate your practices alongside conventional medical treatments? How do the two co-exist?

In my opinion, I would address mind, body, and spirit first. To address any emotional, subconscious, and mindset issues first, and support the body with nutrients, help the woman feel good and healthy prior to medical treatment.

Emotional therapy and coaching can definitely support a medical journey as they offer the resilience tools to navigate uncertainty, fear, disappointment, anxiety, and any other symptoms.

If you were speaking to your younger self what advice would you give her?

All wisdom is inside you. Just follow your heart.

Do you have a personal mantra or favorite quote that you live by / inspires you?

Treat others how you like to be treated yourself

Have you had any mentoring on your journey or someone who has guided you that you look up to?

With regards to fertility, Iva Keene really opened my eyes regarding the flawed narrative of age and infertility and the importance of changing lifestyles.

I have many spiritual teachers who offer me a lot of peace and a higher perspective on why certain struggles or challenges serve us to learn in life.

As a hypnotherapist I offer past life regression journeys that offer insight into meaning and purpose and for me peace with not becoming a mother in this life.

What do you think is the biggest challenge your female clients face when it comes to fertility or their general health?

Unawareness of key aspects that influence fertility that are not educated by fertility clinics. Happy to discuss more about this.

What excites you the most about SheWell’s mission to bridge medical and holistic approaches to fertility?

I love the holistic approach tailored to the well-being of women. We are not robots, or machines so much more is at play that is not addressed by purely a medical model.

We need thriving women, mothers or non-mothers who feel truly resourced in every aspect of a community that cares.

What conversation do you feel we are not having as women and should be having when it comes to fertility and female health?

I think there is a huge social pressure to become a mother – like you are a dysfunctional woman if you don’t have kids or choose not to.

This causes a lot of anxiety and depression – and 40% of suicidal thoughts in women who struggle with fertility! We need to debunk this.

I really like Ruby Warrington Women without Kids who states that mothers also need support.

Women without kids can offer vital community support and care.

My main mission is to help women to feel empowered and worthy, as they are,  with or without kids
